Biomass Processing from Green Waste

INPUT: Green Waste

OUTPUT: Biomass < 20 – 100 mm (0.8 – 4'')

Biomass is the whole organic substance produced by plants or animals. A distinction is made between solid and fluid sources of bioenergy. While in the past the focus was on recycling, today the development centers on energy recovery. In the field of biomass processing we focus on the recovery of green waste, root timber, garden waste, branches and logs.

PLANT EXAMPLE

Input material: biomass
Throughput: > 10 t/h
Output grain size: < 60 mm (2.4'')
Utilization output: thermal utilization, recycling (fine fraction)

PROCESS DESCRIPTION (example)

The input material is charged into the shredder DW 3060 by wheel loader or excavator. During this step, a first pre-sorting is carried out and large contaminants such as metal and rocks can be sorted out.

The DW 3060 can be equipped with an optional comb extension, which ensures a consistant shredding. After the shredding, iron parts are separated by means of an overband magnet.

The material is finally screened to the desired grain size by means of the trommel screen SM 620 or a star screen. Fine fraction screening 0 – 20 mm (0 – 0.8''), grain size of the final product 20 – 100 mm (0.8 – 4'').

In order to achieve a pure product, it is also possible to separate the remaining iron parts from the fine fraction with an overband magnet.

MOBILE DOPPSTADT MACHINES

DW 3060

SM 620 (Trommel)

The roller length of the DW 3060 is 3 m (9'10''). The roller rotates at 31 rpm. 21 roller teeth and 22 comb teeth shred the material.

The drum of the SM 620 has a length of 5.5 m (18') and a diameter of 2 m (6'7''). For different applications various meshes sizes are available.

STATIONARY DOPPSTADT MACHINES

DW 2560 E

SM 1025 A

The DW 2560 E shreds the material with its roller with 2,5 m (8'2'') length and 17 teeth. The power transmission from the DC motor to the components is carried out by a direct drive with planetary gear.

The SM 1025 A is a screen with open construction and helical-guide trommel. The drum has a length of 10 m (32'10'') and a diameter of 2.5 m (8'2'').
