The DSP 20-5 screw extruder …

… separates the liquid and the solid fractions of bio-degradable wastes. The liquid fractions can be used for biogas production and the solid fractions for thermal utilization or for composting. A 500 mm (1'8'') diameter and 20 rpm ensure a high throughput. The screw presses the materials through screens with different mesh sizes. For different applications screens with various mesh sizes are available.

• Applications: food and supermarket wastes, biomass, rejects from the paper industry. Discharge of the solid materials at the hydraulically controlled pressing cone at the front end of the pressing screw.
• The screening baskets can easily be changed if another mesh size is required
• The adjustable speed and the variable mesh sizes of the screening tunnel guarantee an optimum dehumidification of the material to be pressed at a maximum throughput.
• Throughput: approx. 10 tons per hour (based on material), up to 70 % of fluid pressed out of organic wastes.
