DOPPSTADT NZ 180 E      Secondary shredder

Secondary shredder DOPPSTADT NZ 180 E

The machine is driven by a rotary current motor. The installed motor power is selected to meet the requirements of continuous operation. The power is transmitted by means of a belt drive. A hydraulic motor in the motor chamber driven by a separate electric motor supplies the corresponding control units for driving the hydraulic consumers. This includes the flap mechanism of the fine shredding gate the feeding roller and the roller screen. In addition, the machine hydraulics allow supplemental driving of a discharging conveyor belt.

In accordance with the requirements for throughput capacity and shredding specification, various mesh sizes can be selected for the shredding gate. The shredding gate swivels out hydraulically for maintenance and repair work and can be replaced quickly. The selected mesh size determines the grading. The actual shredding of the material is performed by the hammermill, featuring free swinging hammers and easily replaceable wearing tips. The hammers drag the material past the shear plate, shredding it until passes through the rear gate.

The material is generally fed by continuous conveyors, such as belt conveyors. Direct feeding into the machine by wheeled loaders and diggers is not possible. The feedstock falls into the delivery shaft and passes through the internal machine pre-screening.

The material to be shredded is delivered to the actual shredding unit with the help of the feeding roller. The feeding roller includes a load sensing device and reverses in the event of an overload so that blockages in the shredding unit are almost completely prevented. The previously screened material is returned to the shredded material after shredding and passed on to the connected belt conveyor in the discharge area.

The entire shredding area is enclosed for noise dampening. The actual shredding noise in the rotor area is minimised by a hinged or hydraulically swivelling noise protection hood. Water spray nozzles bind the dust in the area of the shredder. The machine switch cabinet is included with the basic machine equipment and is positioned in the immediate vicinity. The machine can be integrated into larger control systems (such as PLC) via potential-free contacts at any time.

Also included as standard is the steel substructure for the machine, the vibration dampening setup anchors and all chutes, both in the feeding and discharging areas.
