In the beginníng an agricultural company with ideas
The idyllic mountain scenery in the Düsseldorf-Essen-Wuppertal area has had a lasting influence on the entrepreneurial skills of the Doppstadt family. At the Velbert location, a family agricultural enterprise developed into a visionary company with environmental competence through extensive experience and a feeling for nature.
1965: Founding of the Werner Doppstadt company
In 1965, the agricultural company Werner Doppstadt was founded at the Velbert location. The company was run by Werner Doppstadt, while his wife Hedwig took on the marketing activities and his brother Johann designed and developed.
1970: Agricultural and environmental technology service sector
Further development was assisted by close cooperation with the Rhein-Ruhr water management industry. A complete treatment process for drinking water treatment was developed.
1977: Velbert headquarters
The experiences gained led to the expansion of the product line. The company developed specialist experience in environmental machinery. The first series of products from Velbert focused on drum screens, high speed shredders and verge mowers for municipal use. Special equipment such as grips for wheeled loader shovels, wheeled loader containers for trucks, etc. were also developed and patented.
1990: Founding of the DVG marketing company
To strengthen our company's activities throughout Europe, the marketing company DVG was founded. This made it possible to properly market the Doppstadt products and meet the demands of the ever-expanding markets around the globe.
1992: Purchase of the Förderanlagen Calbe GmbH company
New production opportunities were created through the purchase of the company Förderanlagen Calbe GmbH in Calbe on the Saale river. This also expanded the know-how in conveyor technology to include gravel plant equipment. At the time, this site offered sufficient expansion possibilities and was consistently expanded with state-of-the-art manufacturing and assembly equipment, as well as being ISO certified.
1995: Renaming of the company
The constant intensification of the common company activities led to the renaming of the company in 1995 to Doppstadt Calbe GmbH.
1998: Start of carrier vehicle manufacture
Carrier vehicle construction was begun by an experienced manufacturing crew at the traditional production site Velbert. Exclusive and global manufacture and marketing of the carrier vehicles was taken over by Doppstadt from the renowned manufacturer CASE STEYR from Austria.
2002: Consolidation of all distribution activities
Because of continuous expansion of the company and the scheduled enhancements of their array of products, the DOPPSTADT family has decided to unify the DOPPSTADT Calbe GmbH with the distrubution company DVG. All distribution activities are managed centrally from Calbe since that time.
