Refuse Derived Fuel Processing
INPUT: Industrial waste
OUTPUT: Refuse derived fuel
Refuse-derived fuels (RDF) are fuels derived from waste, which replace primary fuels in thermal procedures in the primary industry or in the field of energy conversion. Refuse-derived fuels can principally be divided in two groups according to the processing requirements:
- Group 1: Types of waste that are collected as a mono-fraction and can be transferred to an incineration without extensive processing efforts
- Group 2: high-energy waste flows from a mechnic-organic plant, which must be processed before the incineration due to a mixed collection, high-energy light fractions after a mechanic treatment (plastic films, waste wood, paper, plastic etc.), high-energy fractions after a mechanic and aerobic / anaerobic organic treatment
The material processed in our plants mostly belong to group 2:
- Residual domestic waste: garbage, bulky waste
- Residual industrial and commercial waste: industrial waste similar to domestic waste, commercial production waste, construction site waste, sorting residues.
PLANT EXAMPLE
Input material: Industrial waste
Throughput: up to 20 t/h
Output size: < 150 mm (4'')
Utilization output: Utilization output
PROCESS DESCRIPTION (example)
The input material is charged into the shredder DW 3060 by wheel loader or excavator. During this step, a first pre-sorting is carried out and large contaminants such as metal and rocks can be sorted out. The DW 3060 can be equipped with an optional bar grating basket to achieve a lumpier product.
The DW 3060 can be equipped with an optional comb extension, which ensures a consistant shredding. After the shredding, iron parts are separated by means of an overband magnet.
By means of the screen SM 620, the coarse and the fine fraction of the shredded material are separated. An optional windsifter can be installed above the coarse fraction.
MOBILE DOPPSTADT MACHINES
DW 3060 | SM 620 (Trommel) |
The roller length of the DW 3060 is 3 m (9'10''). The roller rotates at 31 rpm. 21 roller teeth and 22 comb teeth shred the material. | The drum of the SM 620 has a length of 5.5 m (18') and a diameter of 2 m (6'7''). For different applications various meshes sizes are available. |

STATIONARY DOPPSTADT MACHINES
DW 306 | SST 725 |
The powerful shredder DW 306 shreds the material with its 3 m (9'10'') roller working on the single-shaft principle. 21 teeth pull the material to be shredded through a shredding comb. | The SST 725 is encased and the screening drum with screw-guide is driven by friction wheel. The drum has a length of 7 m (23') and a diameter of 2.5 m (8'2''). |
